For the last 20 years of his professional career in Population Health Management, Peter Yedidia, MPH was President and CEO of GHS, a healthcare survey research firm specializing in measuring and predicting individuals’ health status, health risks and satisfaction with health services. GHS works with purchasers, health plans and providers in 40 states. GHS is distinguished by its work to develop and administer brief, predictive surveys to enhance chronic care management, disease management, quality measurement and quality improvement.
Prior to founding GHS in 1985, Mr. Yedidia held healthcare administration and planning positions in private, community-based and public sector settings. He has lectured in the graduate programs in health administration and planning at the University of California at Berkeley. He is an advisor to and frequent speaker at programs sponsored by healthcare professional and trade organizations. Mr. Yedidia has served on the Board of Directors of the Society of Prospective Medicine.
During 1968-69, he managed a smallpox-measles vaccination programme in the Diffa-Lake Chad region of Niger, under the auspices of the World Health Organization and the United States Peace Corps. He did his graduate work in healthcare administration and planning at the University of Michigan, Ann Arbor.
